Secret revealed..

I've been keeping a secret from you. The time has finally come to spill the beans..

We are smack dab in the middle of an ICPC (Interstate Compact for those of you that don't know) with a state many many miles away (1083.93 miles to be exact).

Yes.. we are currently matched with Spoiled Princess' BIG SIS!! Lordy, those of you that have followed along - this has taken FOREVER! More than a year has passed since I first learned she was in care and contacted them. But we are finally getting somewhere. If all goes smoothly, she should be here sometime this summer! I'm soo beyond thrilled!!! The kids are all excited and can't wait to finally meet her.

All this excitement takes a little of the hit off of learning that Lil Bro was adopted by his foster parents. I'm not sure I would have done things differently or even fought for him knowing he had been with them his entire year of life. I'm not sure I had it in me to rip him away from the only family he knew, but I'm still sad that he wont be able to be raised here with his sisters. I'm ticked off at the way it was passed along in a very obvious manner so I would find out- ha ha, he's already adopted.. too late for you! I'm downright pissed off that the director of that crappy county straight out lied to me when she assured me that once he was available for adoption. Yeah, that still hurts.

But at least Big Sis (who's new blog name shall be Southern Darlin' from this post forward) will be able to be raised with her sister. I'm taking comfort in the fact that it obviously wasn't meant to be for Lil Bro to be here.. Yet we were meant to go thru all of this waiting and worrying about him because if he never had existed, we'd never have found out about Southern Darlin' being in care.. Always finding a silver lining :)

Send quick ICPC vibes , will ya? In less than a week it has made it from the sending county, to the sending state capital and is supposed to be in MY state NOW.. Fingers are crossed they get their stuff done in a timely manner :)
