Playing Catch Up..

Geesh!! Looking back, the last time I blogged was on the famous shared birthdays.   Oops.

So let's play catch up :)

I have been playing Frontierville on FB.. Yes, it's addicting. I get suckered into this like I never did with Farmville (definitely do not <3 farmville). So if you happen to be my facebook friend- please come be my neighbor.. I need more neighbors.  PLEASE! :)  If you aren't my fb friend but wanna be, shoot me an email and I'll do eeny meeny miney moe on whether to add you :)  J/K..  or am I?

I also discovered  Trade Books for Free - PaperBack Swap. .  Go ahead, click it... you know you want to.  I am definitely in <3 with PBS. You see, you take all your books that you are done with.. Maybe you didn't like them.. maybe you just read them but didn't feel they were re-read worthy.  and you put them up on PBS (for free).  Then every one that you send out, you'll get a credit for to choose a book from someone else.  No fees.  It's great!  I'm just a tad bit addicted.   Daddy Chaos is fine with it because it means I went thru boxes of books in storage to find stuff to put up.. Of course he hasn't seen the books that I'm waiting on to come in.  *ahem*.   Anyhoo, it's really simple.  Plus to get you started- list 10books and they'll give you 2 free credits! Yay!  You pay to ship out any books that are requested from you, but all books that you request will come shipped to you for free.  It's a win-win.  If you sign up, I'd greatly appreciate you did it under my link (either up above or look in the sidebar) b/c I'll get a credit for referring  you ! I'm a big book addict so this is bliss!

Last we spoke it was Daddy Chaos' birthday.  That night as I took Dimples to bed, I told him to say good nite to daddy  & happy birthday.   It probably doesn't help that since then we've also had Gpa's birthday.. And Smellsy's is fast approaching.. Still, every single night since then when I tuck him into bed we say our good nights, I sneak out the door and just as I'm crossing the gate I hear him whisper " Good nite. Happy Ber-day"   good nite, my love. Happy birthday.  It makes me smile every time.

Since I've been neglecting my blog, sadly I've been neglecting reading my favorite blogs too.. So what's new with you guys??

Random Monday- Take 1,342, 670

So much randomness to share today.

#1. I have officially finished off the ice cream from Valentine's day. I was surprised I got thru it so quickly.. yes, I have no willpower apparently.  Daddy Chaos seems intent on pampering me & he managed to get the ice cream shop to sell him one of their huge containers (3.5gals) of Bubble Gum ice cream at their cost!

I was nice enough to split this monster with Cowie - because she loves it as well.  It's probably one of the reasons we are such good friends- it's not often you find another grown up that is in love with BG ice cream.. lol. Although I now know Tara loves it as well soooo, she is offiically in the BG ice cream BFF club!  Regardless, I keep Cowie around to make me feel better about my ice cream habits. You see, we split the container up on Saturday and I have yet to get into my ½ while she has finished 2 of her 6 containers that we filled.. Ha! :) Gotta love her !

#2. Cheerleading for the little girls ended this weekend.  With it's end we have learned two very important things -
Spoiled Princess watching her sis cheer! (and cheering in her seat.. lol)

a) Spoiled Princess LOVES cheerleading. She's outgoing and does pretty darn good.

b) It was too early to let Southern Darlin' try a sport.  We thought we'd give it a shot because she really wanted to do it but uhmm no. She quickly discovered that it's not so much fun when you have the attention span of a gnat. I mean the teachers wanted her to actually listen and do what they said.. Geesh!  She finished it out b/c I asked her to ( just do your best, don't quit) but will not be doing it next year.   She was much happier getting to sit in the bleachers with us & watch her sister than when she actually had to go out and do stuff.

#3. As you may have read earlier, we went to see the @JustinBieber movie and some of us *ahem* chose not to recycle our 3D glasses but to bring them home.  The girls all bling'd theirs out and I just gave mine to TheToddler to play with.
look I actually got a pic of his face!

Fishing Pole's  *cool dude* look.
#4.  The little girls have gotten to an age where they are starting to realize embarrassing things.  For example- they love to tease Attitude King about random things.  The other day it was:
Attitude King likes  girls!  ewww!

and when that failed to get a rise out of him.. Spoiled Princess upped the ante :

Attitude King likes PINK!!  *snicker*

Quite honestly it gets us all giggling with the silly things they come up with. :)  I'm sure it doesn't help that he's a nice big brother and plays dress up with them... I do have a picture that I am saving for blackmail of my bigger than me almost 13yr old son wearing orange & pink fairy wings.. lol.

#..5?? Drama Queen has been writing short stories and songs for a while.  She's begged off and on to be able to have a blog (ugh!).    Due to some sneaking around (don't we all love teens?) she's been pretty much banned from the internet.  I have recently loosened the reins a tiny bit.  She now has a twitter acct (but no facebook because I am a mean and horrible mom) where I'm sure she is going to go goo goo over @JustinBieber.  So if you wanna follow her, she will be excited.. I can't guarantee it'll be interesting but who knows :)  The mind of a 15yr old again- scary!  I have also decided to let her write a few posts for this blog occasionally before I let her have her own- again cuz I'm mean like that :)   So be on the look out :) She's actually a pretty darn good writer , if I do say so myself :)

**Edited to add that apparently I am lame and it's Tuesday not Monday.. But we'll just pretend it's Monday after all :)

Misc. Monday

Before we get to today's regularly scheduled post, I want to thank everyone who commented on my Failure post.  I wasn't looking for sympathy and quite honestly thought about deleting it a million times right after posting it.  But I decided, to hell with it, it's my blog and that's what I was feeling at that particular moment.  I've been able to pull myself out of the pit I was sitting in and honestly you're words of support helped a LOT.   So thanks!

I've also started contributing at a new upbeat place- all about one of my Favorite places on Earth.. *cough* Hint, Hint! *cough*   I'll share as soon as the official Launch happens!

Gpa Chaos (my daddy, yes I didn't name him correctly when I fake-named him - oh well) has taken up a bit of my mind lately.  He had a lovely trip to the hospital over the weekend. You see, he gets these mystery spells & his blood pressure crashes among other things. So he got the joy of spending the weekend in ICU & had to watch Superbowl commercials there alone - :o(  He is stable now and naturally they have released him and he's on his way home again.  Doctors frustrate me sometimes.  They never seem to figure out anything anymore.  They can't figure out TheToddler's issues and they never can figure out Gpa Chaos' issues.  They just treat the symptoms , get him stable and then shove him out the door without ever figuring out WHY.    At least he's better, right?!

Monday Randomness

First, the most important thing..

Let me introduce you to my two new SONS!!

Yes, my dears.. The adoption was finalized on Nov. 19th.  AT LAST!!  Mine! Mine! All Mine!! :)  TheToddler got his hair did.. All braided prettiness. Although Gma Chaos claims it makes him look like a girl, I love it.  He, however, screamed the entire time. Little turd. Anyhoo... I'm going to do another post on the actual adoption (with pics!) and all the drama that led up to it - because we all know my life is not mine w/o drama every second.. ugh!  The important thing is that it's over and the boys are officially "Chaoses" now.

~*~*~*~*~*~

Cpap is crap.

I absolutely abhor this machine.

We have been trying it at nap times and bedtime for a month now.

TheToddler is supposed to wear it any time he sleeps. Period.

He wears his mask just fine.  Yay.

However, once you hook it up to the machine he Fuh-Reaks out!!

So now I put him to sleep first and slowly ease it on.

He'll tolerate it for a while but he won't tolerate a high enough rate (it slowly ramps up) to stop his apnea episodes and so he wakes up and then goes into 100% panic mode and rips it off his face screaming.

I hate it!!

I feel like this big meanie monster making him wear it knowing he's going to wake up and freak out.. Plus then he won't go back to sleep.  UGH!  Naps that used to be 2-3 hrs are now 45mins max.  And then we have crazy boy to contend with until bedtime when we get to start all over again.

Yeah, it's fun.

~*~*~*~*~*~

We are on Day 13 of TheToddler wearing the event monitor to discover what is going on with his little heart.   Yet another piece of technology that I both love and loathe at the same time.  After having it go off 20+ times one day, I finally gave in and called Nurse Heart to see if she could give me some kind of heads up on what was going on.
No such luck.  Instead I was told that Dr Heart is viewing the readings three times a day and if she saw something "life threatening emergency" then she'd have called me. Ok, fine. Still something is going on.  It looks like we'll have to wait til the month's up to find out what it is. Blah!

~*~*~*~*~*~
Who watched the #AMAs?  I rarely watch these things because Daddy Chaos just doesn't have the patience for it.  But Twitter was all a buzz with #AMAs and it drew me in.
First and foremost-

Bon Jovi?  Totally on my bucket list.   I have never been to a single concert. any concert. Ever.   I really want to do a Bon Jovi one.. one of these days.

Pink- Raise your glass.   I love Pink. I love most all her music.  Heck I even like this song but every. single. time. she says "Why so serious"  Heath Ledger pops into my head.
I'm still sad that he's gone and we'll get no more movies with his adorable face & voice.  And heck we didn't really even get to see/hear his adorableness (is too a word) as the Joker because it was covered w/makeup and he was kinda evil.. Which sounds completely selfish, so yes I'm sad that he's gone =period. Not just for my own benefit.   So, Pink- thanks for the great song but not for the reminder.

Marry Me by Train- worth watching just for this.  I am so in love with this song right now. Yeah, I know it makes me a sappy little girl but there you have it.  If I were going to I Still Do and renewing my vows- I'd totally have this song playing.  #iadmitImsappy  Alas, I'm not going unless a money and babysitting fairy were to arrive on my doorstep.. But I will play along vicariously thru twitter.

Taylor Swift - Don't ask what draws me to her.. She's my secret embarrassment.  The one that as a Mom, I don't normally admit to listening to or at least claim I only listen to her because my 14yr old does.   In reality, my 14yr old is more embarrassed that I have the nerve to like Usher and Eminem.  How Dare I?  geez!

And really my peeps, that is all that mattered on the #AMAs.

~*~*~*~*~*~
In case you were wondering, during the course of writing this post- TheToddler woke up from his cpap and ripped it off screaming.  Yet another cpap #fail.

Monday Ramblings on a Tuesday

I came here to talk to you about chore charts, allowances and behavior..

But then that darn "Big Foot Monster" commercial came on and Why The Hell does it attract my attention every single time?

I am not buying it for Drool Prince.

I am NOT buying it for Drool Prince.

I AM NOT buying it for Drool Prince.

There, that should do it.

Now I've totally lost my whole behavior, chores & allowance spiel so that will have to be another day.  Sucks to live in my head sometimes, doesn't it?!

*******
Attitude King has a dr appt with an orthopedic specialist down at the Children's hospital today.  He has some funky condition where the bone in his leg is twisted.. It causes him to walk/run like.. well I dont know what it looks like- funny & has been causing him some pain.

Naturally I'm not taking everyone with me.. That would be just silly.  Plus the lil girls are in school. Sooo I delegated. Yay me!

Gpa Chaos is going to pick up the little girls from school today- which means all I've heard all morning is :

Gpa is picking us up today right?

Are you taking him our carseats?

Make sure to tell him which one is mine (this from Spoiled Princess who doesn't like Southern Darlin' to sit in her seat, even though they are identical.. ugh)

I'm soo excited that Gpa is picking us up!

Gpa is babysitting! YAY!

You get the picture.. It's been non-stop.  And then the little boys are being dropped off with Cowie.. So  Drool Prince has been babbling constantly of all the things he's going to do at Cowie's.. Just see above and substitute Gpa for Cowie..

AND then I get to pick up Attitude King early from school  which excites him to no end for some reason..

What time are you picking me up, Mom?
When I get there.
No, seriously.. What time? I need to know..
You do not need to know. When I get there and they call you to the office, then you'll know.
Eventually against my better judgement I informed him that I would be there at 10:30. Mistake!! For the 30mins before he left for school that's all he talked about.. As he walked out the door this is all I heard:
I'll see you at 10:30 Mom!
 Bye!! See you at 10:30!
Mom!! Bye!! See you when you pick me up at 10:30!!

Why do I even tell them things?

********
We have Daddy Chaos'  magic van today.  Mainly because I don't want to have to park the monster van in the parking garage.  As I took the lil boys out to Gpa's this morning to drop off the girls' carseats, I gave into the demand of a movie.

Nemo.

It's a favorite.

We get to the part where Dory says to Marlan " Are you my conscience?"  and Drool Prince bursts out laughing!!

HA HA HA! That's soo funny! I love this part!

What  part is it?

She asks if he's her conscience!  Ha! I love it.. CONSCIENCE!!

What is a conscience Drool Prince?

I dunno. It's just funny.. Ha ha ha!

I agree. It is funny.. LOL. His laughter is contagious.. He then asked me to rewind it to the 'conscience' part again.. Silly boy.

Alas, The Toddler keeps running from the kitchen with various things that he is not supposed to have.. The strainer.  Several cans of pop- which he is shaking .. Someone please remind me not to open those for a while.   Geez, someone should really be watching him.  Wait, that's me? Crap..

Monday Randomness

The time my dears has come for more Random Mondayness.. because honestly, it's Monday and who can focus long enough to really post on one thing?  So let's get started already ! :::

I was sitting here in the quiet with my fountain pop (yes, I have a special kind of love for Dr fountain, an addiction if you will) when I hear it go "Plop".  I looked at it.  Why in the world it hit my brain that there must be a fish in my pop who just jumped up to make it plop, I have absolutely no idea.  But regardless it did.  Sure it was probably ice settling or something but I am having quite a hard time drinking said pop w/o thinking of fish bowls. If I think about it long enough, it'll start tasting funny. ACK!

~ ~ ~ ~ ~
As I sit here trying to write this, Daddy Chaos is home from work sick. Trying his best to fit in with the other monsters  gremlins kids, he keeps pestering.  Running his thumb nail along the bottom of my foot which HeWhoIsReadingThis absolutely knows without a doubt that it bugs the crap out of me.  I was informed that he is touching my sock not my  foot . Honestly dude, and we wonder where the kids get it from. Ugh!

~ ~ ~ ~ ~
I happened to be in the bathroom with Spoiled Princess the other day. As I sat there doing my hair, she looked up at me with a smile on her face & says:

"Mommy, are you going to have a baby out of your belly?"
Uhmm no, sweetie.. Mommy's just fat. lol..
"Look at my tummy! It's getting bigger, I'm have a baby growing in there"
Sorry sweetie, you dont have a baby either. You're way too young!!
" Oh am I just fat too?"
lol, bless her little soul.. Three of her preschool classmates have mommy's with very large pregnant tummies so I'm sure this is where the idea came from. Not that I'm denying being overweight but I didn't think I looked that pregnant on that particular day.. lol!  Oh the joy of bloating, lots of leftover baby weight & preschoolers!

~ ~ ~ ~
Drool Prince got to wear a Holter Monitor (records every single thing his heart does for 24 straight hours) for the first time over the weekend.  His heart rate has been low & has been doing some funky things. I absolutely LOVE his Cardiologist & her nurse.. Once I called with my concerns & admitted that it sounded a bit crazy- they humored me & set me up with a pulse oximeter for home so I can check his pulse daily & the Holter Monitor.   He did very well wearing it, now we just await the results!  Wish us luck!

~ ~ ~ ~
Alas, daily life is now interfering & it's naptime.. So I'll leave you with this randomness.. If anyone else has Monday Randomness , leave me a link :)
